I’ve been obsessing with this fashion trend born, and very popular, in Japan these days. Mori means forest in japanese, so it would mean literally girl from the forest or woods. Its a fairytale meets natural-hand craft girl, with an air of innocence and cute. Very much like Hagu from Honey and Clover manga…
I’ve been looking at some japanese magazines, and I am so full of ideas. I even want to try and do something human sized for myself in this style.
I also went fabric shopping for this type of fabrics. I couldn’t take pictures yet, but I found lovely raw linnens, brown and beige plaids and muted pink cloquĂ©. ^_^ Happy!

I love the mori-girl style, and I’m really looking forward to seeing this outfit finished.

What lovely fabrics and your drawing is amazing ^__^ I brought my Star Dancer to our Blythe Christmas party in your School Days dress and she received SO many compliments! I wish I had cards to hand out with your web site’s address on them hehe!

I am not familiar with the mori-style but what I see I absolutely love. The fabrics you’ve chosen are going to be fabulous – I can’t wait to see the finished outfit. I love seeing your thoughts and plans and then the anticipation building until the finished dress/outfit appears!!

Thank you!
I think it also helps me too. I can later look back and see what took shape and what got lost in plans and dreams. I like the idea of having a record of my projects and ideas, processes, etc…
